K-Pop YoonA from Girls' Generation Cast in 'Goodbye Ani', Ditches Role In 'Nodame Cantabile'

K Pop phenom, Girls' Generation member YoonA ditches KBS 2TV’s Korean remake of the Japanese series Nodame Cantabile for a big girl job, set to star in the Korean-Chinese romantic comedy Goodbye Ani instead, her first major movie role to date.

For her first acting role in eight years, YoonA will be playing the lead female role of “Ani”. It is rumored that Taiwanese actor Eddie (Yuyan) Peng, who played the male lead in Korean/Taiwanese flick, Scent of Love, is in negotiations to co-star with YoonA. Filming for Goodbye Ani is set to begin filming later this year.

To wit, the young songstress has also been named the international ambassador for eco- friendly Korean natural cosmetic and skin care line, Innisfree, following her six year Korean only modeling contract the company.

Yahoo Entertainment Singapore reports that the marketing director at Innnisfree said YoonA’s beauty has been the ideal look among other Asian countries citing, “From many Asian countries, our customers requested a meeting with YoonA. We hope she could spread K-beauty and Innisfree’s idea all around Asia.”
