Weeks of rumors that Big Bang Theory Instagram feet model Kaley Cuoco and her tennis pro husband Ryan Sweeting are getting divorced seem to have almost completely subsided--thanks, in part, to Priceline Penny throwing her beau a surprise birthday bash. Spoilers: If you thought Jim Parson's Season 7 finale disappearance was freaky, you aint seen nothing yet. Word has it the Johnny Galecki's soon-to-be TV wife is going to be quitting acting for good at the beginning of Season 8 to pursue a lucrative career in sales. According to the latest gossip news updates, Penny's new found success will threaten to split the engaged couple apart before their wedding.
Not that the unbelievable successful show needs it, but Big Bang Theory executive producer Chuck Lorne is getting the word out that Season 8 is set to be quite a doozy.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Chuck let it be known that this year Penny is going to get her act together--but only by giving up in her dream:
"Penny has an interesting arc this year where she puts acting down.
"She gets a shot to be a pharmaceutical rep at Bernadette's [Melissa Rauch] company.
"She's going to find some confidence and self-esteem, which acting does not provide in great heaping doses.
"She's going to start making some money, which will unbalance their relationship as the power shifts."
Lorne didn't get into the claims that the core cast were holding out for a million dollar deal before they returned in the fall, but he did so that if they did--no group could deserve it more:
"There are people at Warner Bros. Television and people representing the actors who have done this before.
"This will work itself out. I think it's great; I want them all to be crazy wealthy because nobody deserves it more than this cast. It'll work out."
At this point, what choice does anyone have but to give in?
The far is far too popular to cancel and the actors too well-known to recast.
Unless they plan to CGI everyone's faces onto marionettes the Big Bang crew is going to be getting that $1,000,000 payday.
