2014 ‘RHOBH’ News: Suzanne Somers NOT Hired for Season 5 Cast; Drunk Brandi Glanville Salary and Return Still Undecided? [GOSSIP UPDATE]

After dropping Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia following the Season 4 reunion recap, Bravo is still looking to fill their places on Season 5 of the always classy reality television hit, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. According to the latest tabloid gossip news, Melrose Place alum, Lisa Rinna, has been hired to replace one of the failed reality stars, but Three's Company icon Suzanne Somers reportedly has not. Word has it that the face of the Thigh Master demanded too much money from the network execs to land a full-time role on the show, but the Step By Step star did agree to a few cameos to add a little extra cash to her aging net worth coffers. Rumors suggest that Donald Trump's drunk Celebrity Apprentice, Brandi Glanville, is still negotiating the salary for her 2014 return. It has been reported that Lisa Vanderpump has settled for a staggering half-a-million, but perhaps Brandi feels she's worth far more.

Just short while ago--in the midst of reports that the Bravo network producers were scurrying to find popular replacements for fired ex-Housewives--rumors ran wild that former John Ritter love interest Suzanne Somers was super excited about the chance to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Since that time word has gotten around that the talks failed because Bravo didn't pony up enough money to entice the ultimately disinterested starlet.

That isn't the inside story told by a secret source to Star Magazine for their August 4, print edition however.

According to the informant, Sue was stoked about joining the chatty Cathys on set, but her greedy husband, Alan Hamel, blew it with his bullshit demands:

"Suzanne is spreading the word that she doesn't want to be on the show, because, 'it's not her,; but in reality she would have loved to join in on the drama."

The spy goes on the reveal that while they couldn't come to an agreement about her joining the show fulltime, Bravo did get Somers to commit to a couple of guest spots:

"Her pay for those cameos will rival the other members of the cast's entire salaries for the season!"

Apparently, that is no small feat when considering the 6-figure sums these ladies are reportedly taking home just for shooting Season 5 (via Star):

"Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards and Yolanda Foster are earning up to $500,000, while Kim Richards and newbie Lisa Rinna will pocket $450,000.

"Brandi Glanville's salary is still up in the air."

When it comes to drawing rating for Bravo's Beverly Hills ladies, Brandi Glanville is worth her weight in gold...but will she get it?
