Republican Senator Ted Cruz Calls Leftist “Blood-Sucking Fiends” After HBO ‘True Blood’ Bush Library Massacre? [SPOILERS]

True Blood is in its seventh and final season and the HBO vampire drama is not pulling any punches. In addition to upsetting fans with numerous deaths, the show is also making a few enemies over at the G.O.P. The show recently a bad taste in the mouth of Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, after the show staged a killing spree at a fictitious Ted Cruz fundraiser. The in show Massacre took place at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas. The scene sparked a Facebook reply from Cruz where he compared “leftist” Democrats to “blood-sucking fiends.

This past weekend on HBO’s hit vampire series True Blood, Pam and Eric’s hunt for Sarah Newlin took them to to a fictitious Ted Cruz fund raiser at the Bush Library. Of course where Eric and Pam go, lots and lots of death is sure to follow. However, Ted Cruz wasn’t too happy with happy with the episode, addressing it on his Facebook:

“Of all the places I never thought to be mentioned, HBO’s True Blood vampire show would have to be near the top of the list. Sunday night, they aired a misogynist and profanity-ridden episode where Texas Republicans are murdered attending a ‘Ted Cruz fundraiser.’

“Well, I’m sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but am astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends….”

Cruz latter echoed one his Facebook followers post on Twitter, writing:

“Then again, I guess I never had a chance w/ the vampire vote since the dead tend to vote overwhelmingly for Dems:”
