A recent announcement by the Second Stage Theater revealed that Shailene Woodley will be making her Broadway debut in the play "Cult of Love."

The "Divergent" actress is starring opposite Zachary Quinto, as reported by People magazine.

In addition to Quinto, who starred alongside the actress in the suspenseful film "Snowden," the play will feature a talented ensemble, including Barbie Ferreira, Christopher Lowell, Molly Bernard, Rebecca Henderson in important roles, as well as Christopher Sears and Roberta Colindrez.

The team is actively looking to bring in some talented theater artists, as they still have two spots to fill.
Leslye Headland wrote the script, while Trip Cullman is set to direct.

What Is 'Cult of Love' About?

According to the summary from Second Stage Theater, the production will explore their family's quirky traditions, like spontaneously bursting into song while driving. What started as a heartwarming family reunion quickly takes a turn for the chaotic.

"Family traditions include singing carols in harmony at the drop of a hat, but the gathering is anything but harmonious. Old conflicts resurface, new issues battled, and dinner is taking absolutely forever to be served."

Amid the family drama, a pressing question hangs in the air: "Will the love the Dahls share be strong enough to see them through, or is this going to be their last Christmas together?"

"Cult of Love" is set to make its debut on November 20, 2024, at Second Stage's Helen Hayes Theater, with the official opening on December 12, 2024. This play first captured audiences' attention back in 2018 when it premiered at IAMA, and it's ready to make waves once again.
