Watch Bridgit Mendler and Shane Harper Sing Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ In ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Series Finale [VIDEO]

The hit Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie aired the finale episode last night. The show's stars, Bridgit Mendler (Teddy Duncan)and her onscreen love interest Shane Harper (Spencer), sent the series off with a touching rendition of Elton John’s “Your Song.” Watch the video below.

Sadly, Good Luck Charlie is over. Last night the finale episode of the series, titled “Goodbye Charlie,” aired.

Before the finale episode aired, the cast of the series all got together for a one big farewell dinner. Bridgit Mendler tweeted a picture from the event along with the message:

GLC dinner the other night, sad to say goodbye this Sunday :( but the episode is going to be reallyyyyy good!”

The series finale was announced year by a Disney Channel rep who said in a press statement:

“On behalf of everyone at Disney Channel, it’s been our great pleasure to work with the extraordinary producers Phil Baker, Drew Vaupen and Dan Staley and the writers and crew of Good Luck Charlie...We could not have dreamt of a better cast than Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico and Eric Allan Kramer (and even little Logan Moreau as Baby Toby!) and the many guest stars who make the series so special.”

It seems the latest (post-Hannah Montana) generation of Disney Channel shows are starting to dwindle. First Shake it Up went down and now Good Luck Charlie has said goodbye.

A.N.T. Farm is also about to be put to pasture. That leaves only Jessie and Dog with a Blog left standing. The next generation is already starting to creep in with the new Dove Cameron vehicle Liv and Maddie and the new show, I Didn’t Do it
