Tim McGraw and Faith Hill find themselves once again denying divorce and cheating rumors. Their latest statements come after an alleged scandal involving Tim’s missing wedding ring.
For most of 2013, Tim and Faith found themselves on the cover of nearly every tabloid. Unfortunately, most of the covers accused the couple of divorcing.
This week, however, gossip rag Closer gave the celebrities a platform to speak out about the inaccurate claims. While we have yet to obtain a copy of the publication, an image of the cover has been released.
Faith and Tim are shown in a loving embrace, with a title that reads “The Truth About Our Marriage.” Attached is the caption:
“Country’s cherished couple fight back against the rumors and reveal the promise that holds their 17-year marriage together: Divorce is never an option for us.”
Divorce may not be an option for the couple, but that doesn’t mean that the tabloids will ever end their speculation. Of course, Tim didn’t help matters when he performed a number of shows without his wedding ring.
According to one source who spoke with Hollywood Daily News, Tim’s mistake almost cost him his marriage:
“Faith is heartbroken that her family is falling apart, and she was just blown away that Tim would take his ring off. It was a declaration of war on Faith. He stared straight at the cameras and didn’t bother to hide the fact that his wedding band was off.”
Apparently this didn’t sit well with his wife. According to the source:
“Faith went berserk! She said if he wants to battle her for a divorce, she would take their kids and every cent he has. Her message was loud and clear. So when he performed on stage that night, he had the wedding ring back on. And he told Faith that he’d just left it in his dressing room after taking a shower. But she knew he was covering up.”
