A Timeless Tragedy: The Story of Romeo and Juliet
Shakespeare's classic tale from 1597 is about the tragic romance of two young lovers caught in the midst of their families' bitter feud. This powerful story also inspired the beloved musical "West Side Story," created by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, which was adapted into a film in 2021 by Steven Spielberg, which also featured Zegler.
According to the production's logline, "The youth are f****d." "Left to their own devices in their parents' world of violent ends, an impulsive pair of star-crossed lovers hurtle towards their inescapable fate. The intoxicating high of passion quickly descends into a brutal chaos that can only end one way."
