Today, Grammy-nominated country trio Midland shares their new single: "Old Fashioned Feeling," a melancholic reflection of an intoxicating relationship steeped in smoke and served with a dash of bitters.

About Midland's 'Old Fashioned Feeling'

The new song marks the group's first collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb and was recorded in Savannah, Georgia's historic Georgia Mae Studios.

Alongside the track's arrival comes its official music video directed by Harper Smith, showing the band going through the motions of usual showbiz chaos and surrounded by a cast of hurried flappers, mimes, managers, and actors.

"Sometimes it feels good to go for a swim in the blues, have a sip of that fiery nostalgia, and live in the memory of something that was once so sweet that's now turned bitter," said Midland. "Lose yourself in this classic country cup of 80-proof soul with a backbeat."

"It's the sound of every dingy neon-hazed bar room where you go to hide in plain sight," they added.

Coming off the heels of their joint release with Orville Peck earlier this month, this new single is a follow-up to their sweeping caution-to-the-wind Roy Orbison-evoking collaboration: "The Hurtin' Kind," which is part of Peck's new duets album.

Performance-wise, the Midland just wrapped their "Up In Texas" headline tour earlier this month and are immediately hitting the road again for a series of headline shows, one of which includes the LA County Fair this coming Friday, May 24.

The band will also make their return to the legendary honky tonk Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, TX for a two-night performance on June 21 and 22. Other appearances include ones at the Bluebird Music Festival, Boots and Hearts Music Festival, and Born & Raised.

Midland's next release slated for next month is a cover of Tom Petty's iconic "Mary Jane's Last Dance," which will come off of their forthcoming tribute album: "Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty" (set for release on June 21 via Big Machine Records."
