Last Friday, April 5, Grammy-winning UK-based duo Blue Lab Beats unveiled their new single: "Say Wow," which was released ahead of their long-awaited fourth studio album: "Blue Eclipse," out April 19 through Blue Note Records.
Following collaborative works they did alongside the likes of Kojey Radical, Daley, Kaidi, Poppy Daniels, Richie Seivwright, and Camilla George, the song features vocal performances from East London rapper Jay Prince and American artist IDK.
Underscoring their "lyrical athleticism" is Blue Lab Beats' ridiculously funky hip-hop production, which once again puts on display the duo's diverse musical taste developed through expansively innovative work throughout the years.

About 'Say Wow' by Blue Lab Beats
"We worked with an amazing keyboard player and producer, Nico Harris on this track and it came together really quickly, in a couple of hours in fact as it flowed so naturally!" Blue Lab Beats explained, adding that they supplemented the instrumentalist's mastery with a "bouncy" drum beat.
"For the past year we've been listening to IDK loads and we just love his approach with his flow and wordplay," they continued. "For the second verse we chose someone from the UK, our bro Jay Prince. When we heard his verse we just knew this song was fully complete."
Emerging as bedroom producers and remixers for famed artists like Dua Lipa and Rag'N'Bone Man, the duo has since emerged away from the four-cornered expanse of their rooms and accrued acclaim over the last two years.
For one, they have bagged a Grammy for their production of Angelique Kidjo's "Fired Up" single, taken from her "Mother Nature" LP. On top of that, Blue Lab Beats have generated over 50 million music streams across their platforms.
The two have no sign of slowing down, as they graced some of the world's most acclaimed festival stages, including 2023's Glastonbury Festival, the Blue Note in Tokyo, Love Supreme in Japan, a trio of shows at the Jazzaldia Festival in Spain, and a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall in London, among others.
