Fans planning to see Thor 2: The Dark Would in 3D are in for a special treat. Disney and Marvel announced on Wednesday that the film will feature an exclusive five minute preview from Captain America 2: The Winter Solider. Chris Evans' fans might also get a chance to see the hero in the movie. Rumor has it that Cap might make a cameo appearance in Asgard.
Following the newly released Captain America: Winter Soldier trailer, fans are able to get a second look at the superhero when they buy 3D tickets to Thor: The Dark World. Dave Hollis, executive vice president of theatrical distribution at Walt Disney Studios, talked about the decision in a press statement:
"After Marvel’s The Avengers, the Marvel films are more interwoven than ever, and this pairing is the perfect complement to both of the new movies. Thor: The Dark World is going to be an exceptional theater going experience, and this sneak peek will really rev fans up for the return of not only the Mighty Avenger but the First Avenger as well."
That's not the only bit of Chris Evans that we might get to see in the film.
Warning Possible Spoilers Below
Earlier this year, Captain America, himself, Chris Evans spoke with Collider about the possibility of making a cameo appearance in Thor 2:
“[Chris] Hemsworth and I even talked about that. I would love to do a little thing in Thor 2. It is obviously going to be tricky trying to work out the plot, the reason why I am not there to help him, and why he is not there to help me. But the best thing about Marvel is that, like I said, the movies were so good and we had such a good time making them.”
There are also unconfirmed reports that Loki will briefly shape shift into Evans at some point during the film. This, however, is yet to be seen and may in fact be only rumor.
