Matt Saal is leaving, the liberal news outlet, MSNBC for Bloomberg TV. Saal has been a major player for the network, serving as a co-creator of The Chris Matthews Show, a co-executive producer of The Rachel Maddow Show, and is currently executive producer of Politics Nation with Al Sharpton.
MSNBC President Phil Griffin commented on Matt Saal’s departure from the network (via TV Newser):
“I’ve really enjoyed working with Matt since he first joined us in 2002. He’s made significant contributions across our network, including building the talented team we have in place at PoliticsNation, and we look forward to carrying on their great work on the show. We are going to miss Matt and wish him the best of luck.”
Matt Saal has worked for MSNBC for over 12 years. Saal’s last day will be on March 27. Saal’s first day for Bloomberg TV will reportedly be on March 30.
