Despite being a byword for grace and beauty for more than thirty years, Wheel of Fortune co-host, Vanna White, reportedly hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to her romantic relationships. The last time the Myrtle Beach native announced she was getting married on the iconic TV show was way back in 2004, but unfortunately for the Vanna she wound up calling off the engagement just two years later without ever actually walking down the aisle. According to the latest gossip news updates that is all set to change, now that boyfriend John Donaldson is reportedly planning a wedding proposal for February 14.
Despite the fact that Vanna White has long been considered one of the most attractive women on television she hasn't always had a picture perfect love life.
A source claiming to be close to White told the National Enquirer that once boyfriend, John Donaldson, came into her life three years ago everything turned around for the better.
According to the informant, John is ready to make the women of his dreams his wife for the rest of this life:
"Vanna has been unlucky in love -- that is, until John came into her life.
"She's really fallen hard for John, who used to be something of a ladies' man, but he's only had eyes for Vanna since they met.
"She's taken it slowly, but it will end in a wedding this year.
"Vanna expects a marriage proposal - probably for Valentine's Day, with a small family-only destination wedding likely in the spring."
Even after all these years with the show, White can still remember how terrified she was during her audition for the show way back in 1982.
Vanna recalled that it was a good thing she wasn't really required to say much during the audition in front of Merv Griffin, because she was practically paralyzed with fear (via Biography.com):
"I was so nervous because I wanted this job so badly.
"My knees were shaking; my mouth was quivering; I could hardly talk."
And the rest...as they say, is history.
