New 2014 Apple iWatch Pre Release Date Event After Bending iPhone 6 Plus, FBI and Samsung Feud [UPDATE]

Apple is working hard to promote their latest product line, the Apple Watch (dubbed the iWatch by the press). The tech giant held a special one-day event prior to the devices 2015 release date, after a slew of bad press. In the past few weeks alone, Apple has been feuding with YouTubers posting videos of the iPhone 6 Plus bending unnaturally, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and rival Samsung.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, has been a busy man. If he's not defending his products from consumers and his services from the FBI, then he's busy promoting Apple's next big thing-Apple Watch.

The Palo Alto tech company that was revolutionized under the helm of founder Steve Jobs hosted a one-day event at an up-until-now unlikely place.

But, as Quartz tells readers, Apple now needs support from the fashion industry:

"If the Apple Watch is going to be the company's next big hit, it can't just be sold as a tech gadget-it has to stand on its own as a luxury fashion product, too...So expect to see more efforts like Apple's special pop-up today at Paris Fashion Week. The company took over a section of Colette-a cool, high-end concept boutique-for a one-day-only Apple Watch exhibition."

Apple's new product line may have caught the eyes of international fashionistas, but their new privacy policy has caught the attention of the FBI.

They even angered FBI Director James Comey so badly, the director issued an official statement. After Apple announced that they would no longer be able to assist law enforcement in handing over access to iPhone users personal data, Comey went on the attack (via Huffington Post):

"I am a huge believer in the rule of law, but I also believe that no one in this country is beyond the law...What concerns me about this is companies marketing something expressly to allow people to place themselves beyond the law."

To top things off, Apple has also been battling public outrage as customers post videos of their warped phones on YouTube. The iPhone 6-and to a greater extent, the Plus-appears to have a much higher potential to bend (and stay bent) than their competition.

What do you think about the latest rumors? Do you think that Apple can really make a splash in the fashion community? Do they now need approval from fashion icons?
